“Zionism, as I see it, includes not only in our aspiration for that promised land as a commandment for our unfortunate people, but also the aspiration for moral and spiritual perfection.”

More than a hundred years have passed since Herzl wrote these words, and they are as relevant today as ever before!

We already have a promised land, but the task of moral and spiritual perfection is still challenging us.

151 years since the birth of the visionary of the state, Binyamin Ze’ev Herzl, and we still marvel his amazing vision.

The Department for Diaspora Activities of the World Zionist Organization and the Herzl Center are proud to reintroduce Herzl’s vision and legacy, into the mainstream of public discourse both in Israel and in the Diaspora.

We invite you to mark the Herzl Day which takes place on May 15th, 2011 through various programs, and utilize this site exactly for that purpose.

“If you will it, it is no legend”!
